Underwriting
Underwriting for the PGIT program is conducted from Public Risk Underwriters' office located in Lake Mary. All package lines (Property, Workers Compensation, Automobile, General Liability, and Professional Liability) are underwritten under the direction of Mike Scholl.
Work flow includes receipt and review of new and renewal business submissions for acceptability, loss and exposure analysis, coverage requirements, pricing calculations, proposal preparation and policy issuance.
The underwriting office works closely with both Public Risk Underwriters marketing and the various program agents to coordinate overall terms, coverages, and premium pricing to be offered on each submission. Experience modification accuracy and annual audits are key functions performed by the Workers Compensation unit.
PGIT, with its sound underwriting platform built on integrity and selectivity, will continue to be the most financially viable alternative for Florida's public entities.
